Switch between workspaces
If you belong to more than one ClaimDS workspace, here's how to switch between them — and why your role and data are scoped separately to each.
Plenty of people work across more than one ClaimDS workspace — a consultant across clients, someone who runs two entities. The workspace switcher moves you between them cleanly, and because each workspace is a separate tenant, there's no risk of mixing their data.
One workspace at a time
You're always inside exactly one workspace. Switching changes which one you're working in — its claims, its agreements, its settlements. Your role is scoped to each workspace too, so the same account can hold different access in each.
Switch safely
Follow the numbered steps below. If access looks wrong in a particular workspace, it's a role/permission matter for an admin of that workspace.
Step-by-step
Open the workspace switcher
If your account belongs to more than one workspace, use the workspace switcher to move between them. You're always working inside exactly one workspace at a time.
Pick the workspace you need
Choose the workspace you want to work in. ClaimDS switches you into it, and everything you see — claims, agreements, settlements — is that workspace's data.
Note that your role can differ
Access is granted per workspace, so the same account can be an admin in one and a viewer in another. If something you can do in one workspace is missing in another, it's a role difference, not a bug.
Confirm you're in the right one before you act
Before raising a claim or running a settlement, make sure the switcher shows the workspace you intend. Acting in the wrong workspace is easy to avoid once you check.
Frequently asked
Can data leak between my workspaces?
No. Each workspace is a separate tenant with its own data, and you act inside one at a time. Switching changes which workspace's data you see; it doesn't combine them.
Why can I do less in one workspace than another?
Because roles are per workspace. Ask an admin of that workspace to adjust your role if you need more access there.
