Getting started

Invite your team and set roles

Add people to your ClaimDS workspace and give each the right role — so claims, settlements, reports and the audit trail are seen and approved by the right people.

ClaimDS is built for finance teams, not lone operators — so getting the right people in with the right roles is part of setup, not an afterthought. Roles decide who can see and approve what, which is how the product keeps sensitive work (settlements, the audit trail) separated from everyday claim entry.

Roles, briefly

Each member has a role per workspace, and each role unlocks a set of areas. More privileged roles (Owner, Admin, Finance) reach the sensitive areas; everyday roles (Operator, Viewer) do the day-to-day. The point isn't bureaucracy — it's the author-versus-approver separation that protects the money.

Invite and assign

Follow the numbered steps below. If an invited colleague hits a wall, see fixing access errors.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Settings → Team

Go to Settings and choose Team. This is where you manage the members of your workspace, their roles, and their invites.

  2. Invite a member

Send an invite to a colleague's work email. They receive a link to accept; once they do, they join the workspace with the role you assigned.

  3. Choose the right role

Assign a role that matches their job. Roles such as Owner, Admin, Finance, Manager, Operator, Reviewer and Viewer each unlock a different set of areas — give people enough to do their work and no more.

  4. Match roles to responsibilities

Keep the author-versus-approver separation in mind — the person who raises a claim or proposes a financial amendment shouldn't be the only one who can approve it. Sensitive areas like the audit trail and settlements warrant the more privileged roles.

  5. Adjust as the team changes

Update or remove roles from Settings → Team as people change responsibilities or leave. Access is per workspace, so the same person can hold different roles across the workspaces they belong to.

Frequently asked

Someone I invited can't sign in or sees nothing.

Make sure they accepted the invite from the email link and are using the same address it was sent to. If access still looks wrong, confirm their assigned role under Settings → Team. See also fixing access errors.
