A tour of ClaimDS reports

Find your way around the ClaimDS reporting area — the founder dashboard, the finance registers, the commercial reports and the documents index — and understand why each is role-gated.

The reporting area is where the work you do across ClaimDS turns into numbers you can act on. It's organised into four groups — a founder dashboard, finance registers, commercial reports and a documents index — and which ones you see depends on your role.

Why reports are role-gated

A founder's business snapshot and a finance team's accrual register serve different people, so ClaimDS gates each report group by role rather than showing everyone everything. That's why the Reports landing page sends you to the highest-level report your role can open.

Find your way around

Follow the tour below, then go deeper with reading the accrual register, settlement history and write-offs, and finding a generated document. If a report you need is missing, it's usually a permissions matter.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Reports

Go to Reports. The landing page sends you to the highest-level report your role can see, so where you land depends on your permissions — a founder sees the dashboard, finance sees the registers, and so on.

  2. Use the founder dashboard for the big picture

The founder dashboard is the business snapshot — the headline numbers across the whole workspace. It's gated to the most senior roles because it spans everything.

  3. Use the finance reports for the numbers

The finance area holds the registers finance lives in — the accrual register, open-accruals aging, settlement history and write-offs. This is where you reconcile what's been earned, settled and reversed.

  4. Use the commercial reports for performance

The commercial reports summarise how agreements and counterparties are performing, so you can see which programs and partners are driving the activity.

  5. Use the documents index to find paperwork

The documents area lists what ClaimDS has generated — credit notes, statements, letters and compliance exports — so you can find and hand off a specific document.

Frequently asked

Why can't I see a particular report?

Reports are role-gated. The founder dashboard, finance registers, commercial reports and documents each need a matching role. If one is missing, ask an admin to adjust your role under Settings → Team.

Where do I land when I open Reports?

At the highest-level report your role allows — which is why two people can open Reports and see different starting pages.
