Find a generated document

Use the ClaimDS documents index to locate the credit notes, statements, letters and compliance exports the product has generated — so you can find and hand off any document fast.

Over time ClaimDS generates a lot of paperwork — credit notes, statements, letters, compliance exports. The documents index is where all of it lives, so finding a specific document is a search, not a hunt through email.

One index for everything generated

Rather than scattering documents across the features that produced them, ClaimDS collects them in one index tied back to the claims and settlements behind them. That makes a credit note or a compliance pack quick to find when a partner or an auditor asks.

Find a document

Follow the numbered steps below. For the record of changes (as opposed to finished documents), see use the audit trail; for how credit notes are produced, see GST credit notes explained.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Reports → Documents

Go to the reports area and open Documents. This is the index of everything ClaimDS has generated for you — credit notes, partner statements, letters and compliance exports — in one place.

  2. Find the document you need

Browse or filter the index to the document you're after. Because documents are generated from the underlying claims and settlements, each one ties back to the activity that produced it.

  3. Open or download it

Open the document to view it or download it to share. A credit note, for instance, carries the particulars it was generated with, so it's ready to hand to a partner or your accountant.

  4. Use compliance exports for an auditor

When an auditor or your tax team needs a pack, the compliance exports in this area give them the generated record rather than something reassembled by hand.

Frequently asked

What kinds of documents are here?

Credit notes, partner statements, letters and compliance exports — the documents ClaimDS produces from your claims and settlements.

Is this the same as the audit trail?

No. The documents index is the finished paperwork ClaimDS generated; the audit trail is the record of every change made across the product. They complement each other.
