Cookie and Tracking Policy
[PLACEHOLDER] with your details and have it reviewed by a legal advisor before you rely on it.This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies [PLACEHOLDER: REGISTERED COMPANY NAME — to be confirmed by founder/legal counsel] (“ClaimDS”, “we”, “us”) uses on claimds.com, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential (for example, keeping you logged in); others help us understand how the site is used. We also use browser local storage for simple preferences.
What we actually use
Essential — the application
- Authentication cookies — when you sign in to the ClaimDS application, we set secure, HttpOnly authentication cookies to keep your session active. Without them you cannot stay logged in. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Theme preference — we store your light/dark theme choice in browser local storage so the site remembers it.
Analytics — public marketing pages only
On the public marketing pages (not inside the signed-in application) we use the following tools to understand how visitors use the site:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — page views, traffic sources and basic device/browser information. GA4 sets cookies (names beginning
_ga) to recognise returning visitors. - Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and anonymised session replays that show us how pages are used. Clarity sets cookies (names beginning
_clckand_clsk) to link activity within a visit. - Ahrefs Web Analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregate traffic measurement. It does not set cookies.
These analytics scripts are deliberately not loaded inside the signed-in application or on pages whose address contains a security token (such as password-reset links).
Consent
Consistent with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we ask for your consent before collecting personal data through our forms — every consent checkbox on this site starts un-ticked, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Where analytics involves personal data, our Privacy Policy explains the basis for processing and your rights, including how to withdraw consent.
How to control cookies
- In your browser — every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies (usually under Settings → Privacy). You can block third-party cookies entirely, or clear cookies for claimds.com alone. Blocking essential cookies will stop the signed-in application from working.
- Google Analytics opt-out — Google provides a browser add-on that stops GA4 collecting your data on any site.
- Do Not Track / tracking protection — browser tracking-protection features also limit the analytics tools above.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a tool, we will update this page; the “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
